Media Personality and Blogger B. Scott Sues BET

B. Scott, the transgender media personality and blogger is suing BET Networks for discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation. During the 2013 BET Awards Scott was pulled as the Style Stage Correspondent from the pre-show in June because he was wearing women’s clothes and make up.

Scott claims that after the first segment of the show where he was wearing women’s wear he was pulled backstage and asked to switch to men’s clothing and ditch the make up. Scott says he changed gears but was still replaced by Adrienne Bailon. In his lawsuit Scott says that he was humiliated and wants minimum $2.5 million from BET.
