The news many R&B heads have been patiently waiting for has finally been confirmed. While performing at the KOKO Theater in London on Sunday, Jazmine Sullivan announced that she is indeed readying the release of her third studio album for later this year.
The soulful songstress released her sophomore album Love Me Back on November 29, 2010. In 2011, she shocked many of her peers and fans alike after announcing a semi-retirement from music.
“It’s been awhile,” Sullivan said during the show at KOKO, which saw her performing her hits, covering popular songs, and premiering a new record titled “Mona Lisa (Masterpiece).”
Jazmin also spoke about her hiatus, confirming that insecurities and an abusive relationship were part of the reasons for her short exit from music, but says she is now fully confident.
