[Video/Pic] Rihanna Announces New Album – ‘Anti,’ Reveals Cover Art

The speculation can finally stop, and the curiosity can take over.

Rihanna’s eighth studio album finally has a title — Anti.  During a private gallery showing at MAMA gallery on Wednesday night, she unveiled the cover artwork.

The cover is a childhood photo of the singer on her first day of daycare. It has been distorted and painted over in red and white by artist Roy Nachum, and features a poem that was written by Chloe Mitchell in brail. The back cover also features the same photo shot from the back.

“I fell in love with it because I felt like there was another spirit, another layer to the art,” Rihanna told the crowd. “This is my favorite album cover I’ve ever done.”

She also said that the album is done, but didn’t announce a release date.

The Super Bowl is a huge money maker for both the NFL and the network that carries it. 111.5 million viewers tuned in to watch the Seattle Seahawks defeat the Denver Broncos at Super Bowl XLVIII, making it the most watched television event in U.S. history.

Part of the attraction of the big event is the halftime performance. 

Over the years we've seen Beyonce, Prince, Janet Jackson, Madonna, The Who, Bruno Mars, Bruce Springstein, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers and Paul McCartney rock the stage.

All have done so for free because of the opportunity to be seen by millions of people worldwide and the chance to reap the benefits of increased record sales, merchandise and concert revenue.

The three artist under consideration for Super Bowl XLIX are Coldplay, Rihanna and Katy Perry. However, the NFL has thrown in a potential monkey wrench

According the the Wall Street Journal, they have asked the artists to pay for the privilege of performing by coughing up "a portion of their post-Super Bowl tour income to the league, or if they would make some other type of financial contribution, in exchange for the halftime gig."

The offer was said to have gotten a "chilly reception."

Rihanna has the music universe on lock, but soon she will be stepping into uncharted territory as she hits the big screen in her first animated role.

As we reported earlier this year, the Bajan superstar has a landed a leading role in the anticipated new DreamWorks movie ‘Home,’ based on Adam Rex’s children’s book The True Meaning of Smekday.

RiRi plays the lead character Tip opposite “Big Bang Theory” star Jim Parsons. Jennifer Lopez and Steve Martin also lend their voices.

In the film, friendly aliens invade Earth to escape their mortal enemy. When one of their own (Parsons) accidentally reveals their whereabouts, he has to flee with a teenage girl (Rihanna), taking a road trip across a postapocalyptic America. Along the way, he learns what it means to be human.

Rihanna is reportedly working on a concept album based around the film and will perform new songs in the movie.

Home will land in theaters on March 27, 2015.

Chris Brown finally set a release date for his new album X (May 5th), but a few bumps in the road could see him either moving the date up or pushing it back.

He took to Twitter this morning to reveal that his former manager is responsible for leaking some of the album’s material.

Before he deleted the tweet, he tweeted:

My old manager is leaking my NEW album music and refuses to give me my back up hard drive to sabotage my album. That’s F’d up! 

In any case, here’s a leak from the album — “Counterfeit” featuring Rihanna and Wiz Khalifa
