Entourages for the Def Jam recording artists were allegedly involved in a physical confrontation that may have involved gunfire.
A feud between Def Jam artists Rick Ross and Young Jeezy reportedly came to blows—and possibly gunfire—during Saturday’s taping of the 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards.
The confrontation between the men’s entourages escalated from words to “pushing and shoving,” reports HipHop Dx, citing on-the-scene tweets from HOT 97's Funkmaster Flex.
Complex reports the fight moved to the parking lot, with the sound of gunshots and a police arrest following. Machine Gun Kelly tweeted he was injured: "Got mase in my eyes. That beef shit just got real outside."
A spokesperson for the Atlanta Police Department tells TMZ, "Shortly after 7:15 pm Saturday, a fight broke out in the parking lot at the Atlanta Civic Center (where the BET Awards were being taped) between two groups. Atlanta Police Department officers on scene responded to break up the fight and used OC spray in the process. Individuals fled the scene. There were no arrests or reports of serious injuries. Reports of shots fired appear to be untrue." Our sources maintain shots were fired.
We're also told that 50 Cent got into it with a rapper named Gunplay, a protégé of Rick Ross.
Can't we all just get along?
