St. Louis police arrested 9 people following a night protests that some people used as an opportunity to commit acts of arson, break-ins and looting.

The unrest stems from the shooting death of 18-year old back teen Mansur Ball-Beyby two white officers, on Wednesday August 19.

Authorities say Ball-Bey ran, then pointed a gun at them when they arrived at his residence to serve a search warrant for guns and drugs used in a felony. Police fired a total of four shots, killing the teen.

Following the shooting police said they found four guns and crack cocaine in the home.

Citizens took to the streets and began to protest the shooting almost immediately. By nightfall things turned ugly as rocks and bottles were thrown at police. Officers responded by deploying teargas.

“There has to be a better way, but the better way is not to terrorize an already terrorized community,” Rev. Renita Lamkin told St. Louis Today. “How they deal with the situation is classist and dehumanizing. The people here don't matter as much to them.”

Property owner Gary Taylor said he supported the police actions "because they wouldn't stop.""These are not even people who live in this neighborhood," Taylor said. "None of these people I recognize."

People demanding that fast food restaurants pay their workers $15 dollars an hour have a complete and total lack of understanding of how the economy works. And it looks like the people complaining about the minimum wage are about to get a rude awakening.

At McDonald’s, they’ve combined a computerized kiosk with a brand new menu, and it appears to be a big hit around the country.
So, what’s the reason for these changes?
Some people suspect it’s no coincidence these advances at Mickey D’s have corresponded with the protests by SEIU and other unions, along with fast food workers, demanding $15/hour pay.
As a result, cities including Los Angeles and Seattle have voted to dramatically raise their minimum wage.
… Let’s face it, technology can do the job faster, better and more efficient than someone whining about getting paid $15/hour.

Of course, this will probably be framed as the evil McDonalds screwing people out of money, but they have their own bottom line to worry about — after all, businesses exist to make money, not to give it away. If these people continue to demand ridiculous paychecks for jobs that anyone with literally no education or training could do, then this will be the result, and they’ll end up with no paycheck at all. 9 Dead, 18 Wounded After Shootout Between Rival Biker Gangs In Waco, Texas

WACO, Texas (Associated Press) — A shootout among rival motorcycle gangs at a popular Central Texas restaurant left nine bikers dead and 18 injured, and it sent panicked patrons and bystanders fleeing for safety, a police spokesman said Sunday.

The violence erupted shortly after noon at a busy Waco shopping center along Interstate 35 that draws a large lunchtime crowd. Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said eight people died at the scene of the shooting at Twin Peaks restaurant and another person died at a hospital.


The nine killed were all members of biker gangs, he said, as were the 18 people who were taken to hospitals with injuries that include stab and gunshot wounds. Some victims are being treated for both, he said.

"This is probably one of the most gruesome crime scenes I've ever seen in my 34 years of law enforcement," Swanton said, later adding, "I was amazed that we didn't have innocent civilians killed or injured."

At least 100 people have been detained for questioning, Swanton said late Sunday night.

Swanton said at least five rival gangs gathered at Twin Peaks for a meeting that he said focused on turf and recruitment, two areas where the groups have often clashed. Preliminary findings indicate a dispute broke out in a bathroom, escalated to include knives and firearms and eventually spilled into the restaurant parking lot, he said. There were 150 to 200 gang members inside the restaurant at the time. Shots were fired inside and outside the restaurant, he said.


McLennan County Sheriff Parnell McNamara, whose office is involved in the investigation, said all nine who were killed were members of the Banditos or Cossacks gangs.

Swanton described the interior of the restaurant after a Sunday night walk-through, saying it was littered with bullet casings, knives, a club, bodies and pools of blood. Authorities would be working the rest of the night to process the reams of evidence, he said.

Police were aware of the meeting in advance, Swanton said, and at least 12 Waco officers in addition to state troopers were outside the restaurant, part of a national chain that features scantily clad waitresses, when the fight began.

Flight Review: Say No To Spirit Airlines!!!

SPIRIT AIRLINES FLIGHT 200 & FLIGHT 295 Houston IAH to Chicago ORD

Hello BossLikeUs, We are from Houston and read your Entertainment news every day and hope that you post this Spirit Airlines Review on your site for us. This is something that we feel everyone should be aware of, Thanks in advance.

How can I explain my first trip with Spirit Airlines....? One word... WOW. However, I didn't come here to just say wow, so please allow me to further explain.

 I booked my flight a month in advance for a trip from Houston, TX to Chicago, IL. My flight is scheduled to leave at 6:25am and the ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) was 8:55am, now since we've heard that Spirit makes you pay for a new ticket if you are late for the flight, we made sure that we came an hour early! As soon as we get checked in and to our terminal we've noticed that no one is at the desk

We figured that it was no big deal because we still had an hour before boarding so what’s the rush, plus the screen popped on to let us know that everything was fine and that the plan is schedule to leave on time.

The great news is that we left on time and even made it to the airport early, the pilot took off and landed perfectly... at that moment I thought...wow all those Bad reviews about Spirit Airlines were crap and those people just exaggerated the whole thing

Now let’s gets to the returning trip.....

We got there an hour early as normal, there were people at the desk this time, very young and playful, didn't really care to answer simple questions that other customers had and weren't every knowledgeable about the company at all but, of course no one really thought much of it because they were young.

Now our return flight was stated to Board around 7:55pm & Take off around 8:40pm.

7:50 hit and everyone was packing up their thing to prepare for boarding and in less than a Minute the Screen stated that we would be delayed for an hour (meaning that take off wouldn't be till 9:40pm instead of 8:40pm) No one thought to much of it because delays happen and plus we just seen the Pilot and the rest of his flight crew boarding. Now within that hour we take another look at the screen and the flight has been delayed another 2hrs. 

Now everyone in the waiting room are getting frustrated but are keeping their cool however, the announcers have failed to let us know why the flight is being delayed and once the flight was delayed another hour we were told that the plane was having mechanical problems and around that same time the pilot and his crew walk off the plane with their luggage and states that they will have to switch planes and then walked off.

One of the announcers then got on the speaker once the pilot and his crew leaves and then tells us that we are waiting on a plane to come from Florida to Chicago and states that they will be here shortly, now this is around 10pm and within that 10 O'clock hrs. 2 spirit planes came in the screen updates stating that our flight is now delayed till 12:07am

You can only imagine everyone frustration, there were elderly, sick, and disabled customers waiting for this flight and would like to know if this flight is really coming from Florida because they need to sleep, eat, etc. 

Side note: around this time everything except McDonald's is open however McDonald’s is on another end of the airport.

With no other choice but to wait, customers are frustrated but get excited because the Florida Flight 464 came in around 11:40pm

The pilot and his crew returned and they hoped on the plane to set up and clean up but once again we haven't heard a word or boarded and its way passed 12:07am more like 1am and we are then told that

THE BREAKS ON THE PLANE NEED TO BE FIXED!!!!

Please come on, are you telling me that Florida came in on bad breaks?!!!

 So it is now around 2:00am and everyone is tired, hungry and are now begging for Spirit to just tell us that the flight is canceled so we can all just Get a room and sleep and just re-book our flight to leave on Sunday

But NOOOOO Spirit's workers stated with the rudest attitudes that they don't know what the hold up is on the breaks getting fixed on the plane but they do know that the flight is not canceled and even if we cancel this flight we can rebook till Monday, due to the fact that the Sunday flight is booked already.

Let’s skip forward to the DRAMA, it is now 3:40am and you can look out the window to see that the Pilots are  no longer in the Pilot seats on the plane and another rude Announcer comes up to the mic and announces that the plane is now fixed HOWEVER, the Pilot and his crew have TIMED out and can no longer fly us out and there is no other pilot or crew here right now that is licensed to fly us out tonight but DON'T WORRY, they have another Crew coming in that will be able to fly us out. Now as the announcer is speaking, Customers are getting angry and during all of this the flight schedule has updated to 5:30am for departure.....

Customers are heated!!! 

 The workers did not seem to care about getting customers out but more so about getting themselves out of helping us and that when the customers demanded some type of answers and the workers did not have anything or anyone to direct us too

Now in the mist of the uproar the cops had to be called because one of the workers felt threaten and someone from Spirit came to tell us that $100 flight credit has been applied to our account toward our next flight with them and gave us $21 vouchers to use but the bad part about that is that no one was open expect McDonald's which was on the other side of the airport and it was hard for some of the elderly to even get there.

In the end we ended up leaving around

5:43am and arrived in Houston at 8:20am!!!!!!

 To sum up the whole trip spirit airlines is highly unprofessional and a will sadly become disappointing trip to anyone that fly’s with them.... but hey.... 

You get what you pay for right??

According to Monroe Lousianna’s CBS affiliate, KNOE, fans from across the south paid $150 per ticket to see the Chicago bred singer at the Monroe Civic Center. Flyers advertised the event as a birthday extravaganza.

The event was even posted on Ticketmaster as “Ced’s All Black Affair” with a live performance from R Kelly.

A concert goer, who wants to remain anonymous says that a performance from Kellz did not happen.

“We was scammed because 10 o’clock we was there, no R. Kelly. 11 o’clock no R. Kelly, 12 o’clock no R. Kelly, 12:45 no R. Kelly. 1 o’clock here comes an impersonator.”

In fact, she doubts he was even there. Instead, an R Kelly impersonator took the stage and performed for about 4-5 minutes.

When concert goers reached out to the concert’s promoter, Cedric Johnson, he released a response via text message.

“I’m so sorry!!! I got duped!!! If you was calling on behalf of the show: I will be refunding half of your MONEY BACK: ONLY PPL WHO PAID; Yes I will be refunding half of people’s money back…I WILL BE WORKING THINGS OUT WITH TICKETMASTER!!!! Once again Sorry. “

Though there are screenshots of Cedric’s text message, Johnson contacted KNOE and said the text message did not come from him. So as it stands, it’s unclear whether refunds will be issued or not.

I know if this were me, I would be searching for Cedric in the daylight, with a flashlight. $150 is not chump change. And an R Kelly impersonator just won’t cut it. 

Wonder if R Kelly will speak on this whole debacle.

VH1's Reality Show “The Gossip Game” Gets Cancelled

AllHipHop.com is reporting that VH1‘s “The Gossip Game” will not be back for a second season. Many are scratching their heads and trying to understand what happened and if it was ever given the proper chance to excel.

It had a tough time slot to overcome as 11 PM ET is usually when people are turning off all things reality TV. So maybe the move to 11 was not helpful, but it also came on after Love & Hip Hop and The Family Hustle. It could have been that after watching people argue and fight and then transitioning to people who are loving, nurturing and kind to one another the audience just couldn’t flip back to the negativity. Maybe it would have been better for VH1 to try putting them in the lineup for a different day.

The show started off showing intelligent career women and how they pay dues in New York City in order to make their various careers work for them. While some of them never needed the show to begin with, others were able to ride it into a better situation for themselves. Those who never needed it will be fine and for those who did we are eager to see what they will be doing next!
